Anyone care to venture:

1) how much G4 performance will improve in the current Mathematica v4
    over the G3 (say in numerical matrix calculations), and

2) as to when WRI will have an optimised version of Mathematica
    out to take full advantage of the fancy shmancy Vector Unit (Altivec)  ?
