Thanks to all for your help. I think I have it nailed down now ... :-)

Some reflections: I have noticed that most (all?) the books on Matheamtica fail
to completely explain how to construct, name and store packages. Some
steps are always omitted. Our experts here at the University of Michigan are
knowledgeable and anxious to help, but you can count on their written
explanations leaving out some steps. When I try to follow their
instuctions and it fails to work, they remark - in
words to this effect - "Oh, you were suppose to load the framus file in
the home directory of the reostat."

Those of you old enough to remember "HeathKit" will recall how well
designed their step by step instruction manuals were. I recall that they
would never publish a manual without taking a tyro and asking him/her to
follow the steps. Engineers and/or writers would watch as the beginner
muddled through manual. By the time the model was built (they sold
model kits for do-it-yourself hi-fi builders) their instruction manuals
were free of typos, omissions and unclear instructions.

But all is well, because of the generousity of the readers of this site.

Thanks again folks!

Jack
