Hello Recently there have been several posts asking for help with Mathematica generating the error message: Display::"initstate": "Display cannot be used during initialization" We have reason to believe with some certainty that this error message is being generated as a result of an attempt to modify the Mathematica executable to remove its license protection. If you are getting this error message, there's a good chance that you are using a stolen copy of Mathematica. The stolen version in question is known to have a lot of other problems, and its use is probably not advisable on technical, not to mention legal, grounds. Wolfram Research is understandably reluctant to provide technical support for stolen, modified copies of its product. The solution to this problem is to use an unmodified version of the product, preferably a legally purchased one, which we would be more than happy to sell you. Please contact Wolfram Research, http://www.wolfram.com for pricing or to place your order. Respectfully, Eric Bynum Technical Support Manager Wolfram Research, Inc.
