the mose efficient version is a C-Program like Gaylord et. al. do it.
Beside the fact that object oriented programming is on of the most
supid inventions ever made, it is a cummulation of foolishness to use
oop in such a beautiful functional logic language like Mathematica.
The OOP example from R. M"ader was (original) created for lectures
of computer science students. It is just to show "dear students, you can
get the full range of computer science with Mathematica".
If you want to do OOP programming you should use SmallTalk, if you
functional logic programming you should use Mathematica and if you need
efficient code you should use C.
