Opening Directory

Dear Math-friends

when I open Mathematica(4.1) double clicking on a notebook icon
I'd like that the directory in use is the clicked notebook directory,
as appened to me with Mathematica(3.0).
How can I do it appens again automatically, avoiding SetDirectory[..] etc.
