pdf is an irritating file format. I would try just to capture the screen.
several freeware image viewers piaintshop pro, adsee, etc have the "capture"
feature.
You just select a part or the whole screen and read it into the image viewer,
and then save it in a format of your choice. maybe not top quality but it
works.
