Regarding the PowerPoints, the easiest way is to paste as Bitmaps instead of
WMF's.  This solution may lead to other problems down the track, but if you
don't re-scale your plot, you can minimise these problems.

For printing, from memory, you need to ensure that graphics are
RenderedInFrontEnd.  This option is in the Options editor->Notebook
Options->Printing Options -> Printing Options.
