I recall a discussion about ways to manipulate formulas so as to avoid the ugly results of formulas that start with minus and parentheses that start with -1, such as -(-1+w)/x... etc. I hope I am clear. (w-1)/p is output as (-1+w)/p. How can we make Mathematica print it the pretty way? Another fraction comes up with a leading minus sign where it is easily removable, but Simplify[ ] does not remove it. The result is -(-1+w)(...)/(x+y)^2 Thanks! Nicholas
