Addresses for those of who ask or answer questions are on your archive pages, and I believe there are spammers who troll websites for addresses. [In the case of this virus, the virus gets its addresses from an end users local PC and not from newsgroups or archives. Note that the newsgroup posts are not just archived on the WRI site but in the google newsgroup sites and elsewhere and so spammers can get the addresses from more that one location. There is no easy solution to this except the unacceptable one of not archiving. Users need to use firewalls, virus protection, spam filters, and doing the admittedly almost daily upgrades from Microsoft - moderator] Bobby On Sat, 23 Aug 2003 08:08:53 -0400 (EDT), Steven M.
