Hi, MathGL3d from http://phong.informatik.uni-leipzig.de/~kuska/mathgl3dv3/ read PLY (cyberware, Gemoview OBJ, DXF and 3Scripts) It has internal all the information you ask for but it send only the points/polygon to the Mathematica kernel.
