Dear Peter,

I had also problems to port MathLie under Linux. The problem is that
the files from the CDROM have been encoded under Windows and not under
UNIX/Linux. The problem is associated with the different encoding of
the line break under Windows and Linux. You could solve the problem by
trying the following:

Change in the directory where the MathLie files are located, then zip
the files for instance by

zip MathLie.zip *

and then unzip the files again by using the zip command with the
options "Ua", that is, type

unzip -Ua MathLie.zip

Then start MathLie by typing

Needs["MathLie`"] or <<MathLie.m

If this approach does not work, I could send you MathLie files that
have been encoded under UNIX/Linux. I got the files in the past from
G. Baumann. In this case, reply to my e-mail given in the signature.

Best wishes

Holger Meinhardt
