Is it possible to run Mathematica 4.0.1 in Classic mode ?
(I use it with MacOS 9.2)
Starting up Ma 4.0.1 says approximately
'Some fonts (or char sets) are not installed correctly - Mathematica may
crash. You may still go ahead'
It is clear that mainly
Installed MacintoshHD:Systemordner:Systemerweiterungen:Apple Modem Tool
Installed MacintoshHD:Systemordner:Systemerweiterungen:Serial Tool
Installed MacintoshHD:Systemordner:Zeichensätze:TTYFont
Installed MacintoshHD:Systemordner:Systemerweiterungen:VersaTerm Telnet
Tool
Installed MacintoshHD:Systemordner:Systemerweiterungen:VT102 Tool
Installed MacintoshHD:Systemordner:Zeichensätze:VT102Font
Installed MacintoshHD:Systemordner:Zeichensätze:MathFonts
would be responsible for this message and possible further errors.
(There may be still other incompatibilities).
Could (Should) I still start it?
Is it possible to run with reduced functionality? Under what conditions?
I am not especially eager to run text mode (but it may be interestig to
know whether at least this is possible - and how).
Thank you (for at least reading this)
