The ? could be a replacement for a character not contained in any of the
newsreader's allowed character sets.
I've already seen such replacements in posts sent to "international"
newsgroups.

Perhaps the original poster would want to try to copy the InputForm of its
Mathematica code. (if the problem still persists).
