something like:

<< NumericalMath`SplineFit`

points = {{2, 2}, {6, 6}, {7, 5}, {3, 1}};

ParametricPlot3D[
  (tmp = spline[u]; {tmp[[1]], t, tmp[[2]]}), {t, 0., 4}, {u, 0, 4}, 
  Compiled -> False]
