hi,

have had installed 4.2 as well as 5.0.1 as well as 5.1 on the same system
(windows 2000).
had the same problem with Esc tr Esc etc. but not only this in addition any
gui applikation did not work.
deinstalled all mathematica versions.
reinstalled 5.1 and every thing worked well.
