Create or edit the file .Xdefaults in your user's home directory (the ~
directory).
Add these lines:
XMathematica*primaryModifierMask: Mod1Mask
XMathematica*secondaryModifierMask: Mod3Mask
Restart X (maybe have to log out; haven't used Mandrake in a while).
