cheers, i have already read this paper but unfortunately it does not
deal with the BCH as a commutator expansion (nor does the mathworld
page, incidentally)... and for high orders it is a very difficult job
to collect the commutator terms.
i was able to implement the above which was able to practically work to
about 20 orders in [another CAS]. i guess i'll just have to do the same
in mathematica and hope that someone has written a Commutator package
