Hello to all I am a beginner with Mathematica 5, had no problem with the 10 minute tutorial which promises a lot out of this product but getting further is far from easy just by myself. So excuse the triviality of my questions. I would like to use the package AntiqueNotations available from the Wolfram website but no success so far. I downloaded it with the accompanying notebook to C:\Program Files\Wolfram Research\Mathematica\5.0\AddOns\ExtraPackages\AntiqueNotations 1- Am I allowed to download it to this new subfolder ? If not where should items found on the Web be downloaded ? Now I read in this package header that the file is intended to be loaded into the Mathematica kernel using the package loading commands Get or Needs. The help browser gives me a hint so I type <<AntiqueNotations.m (I also tried it without the trailing .m) Result ((both cases) Get::noopen: Cannot open AntiqueNotations.m. More.(in red) 2- What is wrong ? How can I read what follows More. Also after SetDirectory["ExtraPackages"] I get SetDirectory::cdir: Cannot set current directory to ExtraPackages. More. 3 Why ? What sequence of prior commands are necessary before being able to use a Package ? Thanks in advance for any help. Sigismond
