Dear Group.
After more than a week of running evaluation I have to reboot a
computer (due to some technical reasons, related to problems of other
users).
In the frontend (calculations actualy are done using graphics interface
on remote's linux computer xvnc display) I enter <alt> <comma> . This
allows me to
enter Dialog session and make Dumpsave["file.mx"]. Is it possible
to continue unfinished calculations after reboot?
If the session interuption started in console interface, I would just
enter math -x < file.mx . However I dont know how to restore
kernel mathlink
connection to the frontend's notebooks interface.
Should I start a kernel with math -x < file.mx line in the mathlink dialog
box (which I doubt will work), or there are some other clever ways to make
raw mathlink connection?
Is it possible to continue calculations in my case?
Sincerely Arturas Acus
