Select menu: Format | Edit Style Sheet
You'll be asked whether you want to edit the default style sheet or
import a private copy for this notebook. If you're feeling lucky edit
the default, otherwise import a private copy. The style sheet will
open, it looks a lot like a Mathematica notebook. Find the group
Automatic Styles and expand it, easily done by double-clicking in the
cell bracket. You'll see a cell called Prototype for Style Unmatched
Bracket. Select this cell and make such changes to it as you want.
When you like how it looks, save the style sheet.
Carry on computing
Hope that helps
