Both of those solutions give me most of what I'm after -

Ideally, what I'd really like is for the points on the graph /plot to
be the actual text -
ie, "AAPL" instead of a dot, "GOOG" instead of a dot - and then the
mouse rollover shows the numeric value at that point.
