[mg84557] Change Number Form

Hi,

i?m looking for a way to change the number form of the ticks label. 
actually mathematica 6 just uses the scientific form with a number 
separator " " after a three digit block. i would appreciate the 
following label in my plots: number separator ".", unit euro "¤" at the 
end of the number.
