Hi,

I have just installed Snow Leopard ... see system details below.

1	The 1st indication of potential problems was that double clicked
Mathematica notebooks were opened by Apple Numbers by default.

That was reset by opening a notebook with Mathematica and resetting
the application association.

2	The 1st open notebook generated the error:

"Assertion '(Unknown OS Error)' failed at LikeResource.c:56"

However continuing did start Mathematica and run some initial notebooks OK

3	However there is also a problem with Mathematica Documentation Display. For
example

	Needs["Benchmarking`"] displays as NeedsC"Benchmarking`"G

and

	BenchmarkReport[] displays as BenchmarkReport@D

In spite of that the BenchMark Report runs to completion and displays
OK! and also gives the improvement below:

Excellent speed improvement

}

I expect that I will run across more problems and will be working with
WRI & Apple to resolve my issues.

I wanted to alert MathGroup members ASAP so they may choose to hold on
conversion to Snow Leopard
until the problems are better understood or fixes become available.

Best wishes ... Syd
