I got an error code: 557

I tried to reinstall again my copy: no result

1-mathematica basically v6 upgraded to v7
2-platform :W Vista
 
 
the info that I get is:
 
there was a syntax error in the LinkSetup file
c:users packard appData Roaming Mathematica FrontEnd init.m


what to do?
