Hello,

I am trying to develop a Mathematica demonstration which has a
"runner" which proceeds along a path (indoor track) over the course of
an hour. A simple marker which moves slowly along a course which is
marked with mile and km designations.

The problem I am trying to demonstrate is the following:

Mary Decker has run a mile on an indoor track in 4 min 17.6 sec. What
was her speed in km/hr?

Is there a way to represent a student running a track?

Perhaps the best way to show this is a marker along a straight path
which is about 22.49 km? With mile and km demarcations?

Thanks, Diana M.
