I have a large archive of Mathematica software written in vs. 2.2 (.MA and .MB file pairs) that I need to access. I'm now running vs. 7.0 under Windows XP XP3. Whenever I try to open one of these old notebooks, Mathematica crashes. Looking at Help, I see that there is supposed to be a function, "NotebookConvert," in the "Developer Utilities" package, but I cannot seem to access this function. I do have old copies of vs. 4.1 (apparently the oldest that I bought for personal use -- vs.2.2 was owned by my employer of long ago) through 6.0.3, but I'd rather not try installing one of them until I know it's necessary. (Anyhow, vs. 4.1 only says it supports Windows through vs. 2000. Vs. 5.1 is the first version that mentions XP. I don't know if either of them will still do the required notebook conversion.) Does anyone know an efficient way to convert these old notebooks, preferably en masse?
