One way to do this is setting the DisplayFunction option to Identity in
the individual plots and setting it back to the default value in Show[]
For example:
Show[Plot[Sin[x],{x,0,10},DisplayFunction->Identity],
ListPlot[Table[x/10,{x,0,10}],DisplayFunction->Identity],
DisplayFunction->$DisplayFunction]
