Mark,

There are probably a number of methods. Often the only offending characters are the
rule arrows which you can change to -> and :> by hand, or use that notation in the
first place if you know you are preparing something for email. Things go better if
you do not use Greek letters and use Pi instead of the Greek symbol for pi.

Also, you can select the cells and change them to input form. Then copy and paste
into the email. That should always work. The results are quite readable in email and
can be copied right back into a Mathematica notebook by a reader.
