I'm investigating Algorithms of image compression in fax machines and implementation. My image files are in Bitmap (BMP) format. Does anybody know how I can transform the images into binary (scan) form so that I can feed them into the encoders, and from binary to BMP. This does not include the code for the encoder or decoders, just the transformation. Thanks in advance Brian S. Phiri
