Hi, Does anybody have Benchmarks for Mathematica 4.2 to share? If possible the same or similar machine and different OSes. I want to see how fast/slow the Linux version is compared to the Windows version. I tried http://www2.staff.fh-vorarlberg.ac.at/~ku/karl/timings40.html on a 1600 AMD Linux box with 512MB of RAM and got a value of 6.4. ---more details-- "Times = "\[InvisibleSpace]{1.18, 1.14, 1.08, 0.55, 1.18, 2.48, 0.74, 0.79, 0.41, 0.11, 0.38, 0.96, 0.97, 1.26, 1.11} "Total Kernel Time = "\[InvisibleSpace]14.34\[InvisibleSpace]", Total Time = \ "\[InvisibleSpace]17. "Benchmark = "\[InvisibleSpace]6.40784 ------------------------------------------------ I would like to see how Mathematica 4.2 improved in speed compared to Mathematica 4 or 3. Thanks a lot, Armin
