Hello,

I learned Mathematica using using the book
Applied Mathematica: Getting Started, Getting It Done
by William T. Shaw & Jason Tigg

For high school students & college freshmen, I like the book
The Student's Introduction To Mathematica by Bruce & Eve Torrence

Recently, I like the book Mathematica Navigator by Heikki Ruskeepaa

For graphics (and the vector math behind it all) you can't
beat the book Mathematica Graphics by Tom Wickham-Jones.

For advanced programming, you have David Wagner's
   Power Programming with Mathematica

On the cheap (but still good) is
Schaum's Outline of Mathematica by Don Eugene

Good Luck

Sabrina,

In theory, everything you really need can be found in the Help Browser,
but... there's a lot of good material in the Information Center at the
Wolfram web site, specifically here

http://library.wolfram.com/infocenter/TechNotes/

and more specifically at these links:

http://library.wolfram.com/infocenter/TechNotes/Mathematica/FrontEnd/
http://library.wolfram.com/infocenter/TechNotes/Mathematica/Programming/

If you're taking a course in which you're using Mathematica, you may
want to look for material directly related to that subject.
