Hi Christopher,
I think that could be accomplished, but I think it anyway is easier to just
open a blank notebook, copy the often-used expressions to separate cells,
and copy-and-paste from there. Compared to a specialized palette you maybe
have to do a few mouse-clicks more, but you have full editing power, greater
flexibility, better control and no learning curve. 
If you can convince me that I am wrong here, I will try to include such
buttons in my SetFaceAndFont palette, see
