I guess that the key point is the NVIDIA driver version since the version installed out-of-the-box by Ubuntu is 270.41.06 not the latest one. I'll try to move to ver 280.13 even though I've to give up the automatic driver administration of Ubuntu. Thanks. -- ...and I will make them pay for what they've done! (J.L. Picard)
