Thanks, but having to manually select the same text in a hundred places where I need to change plain to bold is onerous. Would like to do it all at once. Does Mathematica's Find & Replace really fall short here? --Dave Snead -----Original Message----- From: djmpark Sent: Wednesday, September 19, 2012 5:53 AM To: 'Dave Snead' ; mathgroup at smc.vnet.net Subject: [mg128168] Re: Changing typeface using the find and replace dialog Select the text you want to make Bold in the Text cell. Use Menu > Format > Face > Bold and the selected text will change to Bold. You can also use the Format menu to change other characteristics of the selected text. David Park djmpark at comcast.net http://home.comcast.net/~djmpark/index.html From: Dave Snead [mailto:dsnead6 at charter.net] Hi, I've got a notebook with a cell of style text, and trying to everywhere replace a letter having a plain typeface with one having a bold typeface. In the "Find and Replace Dialog" I enter a plain letter in the "Find" box and a bold letter in the "Replace with" box. But after executing "Replace All", the replacements in the cell are all in plain typeface. How can I make the replacements bold? Thanks in advance, Dave Snead
