Residues in Mathematica

I am trying to use Mathematica to calculate the
residue of somthing of the form
(cos W - cos(x-w))^n where n =2, 3, 4.
It seems that the Residue command can only handle
simple poles. Are there any more sophisticated
packages that will calculate definite integrals
of more complicated arguments?
Thanks
