Genetic Algorithm Packages?

Hi MathGroupers,

Does anyone have (or is anyone working on) a package/notbook which  
defines several operations on genetic algorithm (GA)? Is anyone at  
WRI (especially the group on cellular automata) working on this? 


I am willing to write one, but I would not like to do it if it has  
been done already.
