PC/MAC Random Number Differences

Hello, All!

At work we have encountered a most annoying phenomenon:

Seeding a random number using SeedRandom results in DIFFERENT random
numbers on PCs and MACs with the SAME seed!  This is very bad.
Has anyone else noticed this?  Does anyone have a work around?

Incidentally, this is running version 2.2.2.
