Problem with 3.0 on Dell laptop

I'm trying to run ver. 3.0 on a Dell Latitude LM laptop. The 3.0
installation goes fine but the program crashes when the kernel launches
because of a conflict with a NeoMagic video driver on the laptop. Has
anyone encountered anything similar?
