Mathematica suddenly says (something like) Internal error:: FreeExpression called on live expression. and there is nothing you can do about it but retreat to release 2.2.3. They described this "very unusual" bug on their web-site before, but now that page has been removed. One guess is that they wish their costomers to have fun with mathematica for a long time before they give up. Another guess is that they think this bug shouldn't bother anyone anymore since v. 3.0 is on its way. Don't ask me how long it will take them to port 3.0 to DECalphas, the notebook interface arrived (in working condition) only a few months ago... yours -- Johannes Schoeoen "master of research under the event horizon" (No matter how much work you throw in, nothing ever comes out.) dept. of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg, Sweden
