Delete and Backspace problems

We are running Mathematica (2.2.3) on sun workstations 
and we get a ton of warning messages upon startup (listed
below).  Mathematica will run but when you bring up the
dialog box for saving or printing the backspace and delete
key do not work properly.  Any Suggestions.
