Greetings!

Since apparently there is no user preference/option allowing the
automatic backup of notebooks in Mathematica 3.0.1, I ask:

(a) Am I wrong?
(b) Is there some trick one can play to achieve the same end? (c) Is
there some front-end patch available from WRI to make it so?
