Hi!
Mathematica 3.0.1.1 still automatically evaluates initialization cells,
but not when a notebook is loaded. Instead the question "evaluate
initialization cells before..." is asked when you evaluate a cell in
this newly loaded notebook the first time.
Autocreation of a package just puts together all the initialization
cells of a notebook into a separate .m-file each time the notebook is
saved, I suppose.
