Use the menu Input > Create Table Matrix Palette and fill it with the desired
numbers tp get the matrix.
Then write for example naturally beside it [[3,1]] . That will give you the
element of the 3d line and first column.
Out[60]=
7
These ordering conventions are the usual ones
