Layered slides are all the rage in presentations these days: Throw up a
background frame on screen (bottom layer); add a single element to it
(next layer); talk about it; add another element (next layer); talk
about it; and ad infinitum. Layered PDF files are a great way to
accomplish this. Layered PDF files can be created in AutoCAD, AutoDesk,
Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, VIsio, etc, etc, and edited in all the
Adobe applications.

Is there ANY way to create and Export layered graphics (esp. PDF) in
Mathematica?

[Or, does anyone know any external tricks to combine multiple graphics
files exported from Mathematica into a single graphics page, other than
laborious cutting and pasting in one of the above apps?]
