I had an annoying experience trying to download Workbench 1.1 yesterday
after receiving the e-mail from WRI with the relevant link:

1. After typing in the license number, agreeing to the license terms,
and clicking the Download button, I got a Server Error, please try
later, page.

2. Later I tried again and this time I got an "Expired Download" page
error message.

3. Nonetheless, I received an automated Produce Download Confirmation
e-mail!

This has hardly been the first occasion when I've had trouble with
getting software to download from WRI -- far more than once I've had to
end up phoning Customer Service to have them send me a new link or reset
the permissions on the link already sent -- but definitely this was the
worst experience ever. On a par with the lousy infrastructure service
I've become accustomed to with such giants as Symantec.

Let's hope the latest WRI snafu is merely a result of overwhelming
demand for 6.0, 6.0.1, and Workbench and not a degeneration of WRI
Customer Service or service infrastructure.
