AES, seems to me you have more unknowns than equations.  Don't have a third one do you?  What I usually do when using FindRoot is to first make some plots of the real and imaginary components to get a ball-park figure for the zero, say use the "get graphics coordinate" to get it close, then feed in that value into FindRoot.
