A new Mathematica Special Interest Group invites you to attend our meetings. There are no dues or obligations, we ask only for your interest in Mathematica. We will meet on Friday 9 March at the SAIC Enterprise Center building in Tysons Corner (see directions below). Early risers meet before 7 in the morning for admission at the front desk, then we have a Dutch treat breakfast downstairs. By about 7:30 we have moved to one of the projector rooms. Meetings consist of a prepared talk (60 min), informal discussion about Mathematica programming and applications (30 min), general questions (20 min), and new business (10 min). Each phase is kept within its time. At the March 9th meeting, Mel Friedman will present Efficient Evaluation of a Double Integral With a Rapidly Oscillating Integrand, and Calculating with Divergent Series. Previous talks include Gibbs Sampling with Mathematica (Harry Bishop), Personal Knowledge Databases (Dan Martinez), and Animation of Simulation Results (Bruce Colletti). Our forthcoming website will post agendas, minutes, talks, and code fragments. To inquire about attending, e-mail Dan Martinez (dmartinez at sprintmail.com) or Bruce Colletti (bcolletti at compuserve.com). In your e-mail subject line, please include 'Mathematica SIG'.
