As is often the case, nobody knew why. All we know so far is Where: comp.soft-sys.math.mathematica When: 05-05-07, 12.21.51 Who: Peter Pein What: see below > Hi Peltio, > which OS/browser do you use? Win98se with firefox 2.something. I don't think this is a OS/browser dependent problem. It's just that I use a nonwhite background for my window panes in Windows. In Linux, using Konqueror or mozilla I get a white background because I did not bother to change the default background there. (This is a common mistake I've found on several websites. I guess it's due to the fact that developers are keen to use a default white background for their environment, so they won't notice the missin html tag, or css line). > The background is "white enough" with (Linux && (firefox 2.0.0.3 || > konqueror))||(Win2k&&(firefox 2.0.0.3 || IE 6.0.2800 || (usually bitchy)amaya > 9.54) You might want to try to change the windows's background color in Windows display's properties (I guess win2k will behave in the same way win98 does). Here's what I see: http://i12.tinypic.com/673wsk6.jpg (* Wolfram Demonstration Project*) http://i19.tinypic.com/6gdan2f.jpg (*Wolfram Blog*) cheers, Peltio (amazed by Mathematica 6, not by the background :-))) ) -- cheers, Peltio Invalid address in reply-to.
