surprise: copying to 6.0 from email

I had a pleasant surprise this morning when copying some code from a
posting here and pasting it into 6.0: A dialog popped up saying this
looked like quoted e-mail and asked whether I wanted it to strip the
start-of-line quoting. I said yes, and it did it!

This worked with both | and > as the start-of-line character in the
quoted text.
