Another option to explore is the ListContourPlot3D[] function. This is
apparently valid in V5 in the Graphics`ContourPlot` package.
Interestingly, the DocCtr in V6 lists this as "new in V6". Maybe it
has some new behaviors.
Assuming this works I can guess that any z-value can be supplied. Just
evaluate the function at the corresponding points.
